Joseph was born on 9 FEB 1626 in Kingweston, Somerset, England, the son of Henry Adams and Edith 'Rosamund' Squire.
He has died but the date and place are unknown.
His wife was Abigail Baxter, who he married on 2 NOV 1650 in Massachusetts British Colonial America. Their only known child was Joseph (1654-1736).

He was a maltster by trade, made a Freeman of the Colony on 18 May 1653 at Boston, Massachusetts Bay Colony and one of the Selectman in 1673.[1]
Joseph Adams died on 6 December 1694 in Braintree, Massachusetts Bay Colony[1] [4]
He was the father of twelve children with one wife Abigail Baxter. John Adams and Mary Adams died young. (Two later children who lived were named for John and Mary.)[5]
