Mildred Bailey, 83, slipped from this life into the arms of her Savior, with her beloved family by her side, on September 5, 2009.
Mrs. Bailey was born January 6,1926, to Noah and Mollie (Lindsey) Tyler in Conway, AR. She married O. D. Bailey on June 26, 1943, in Conway, AR. She was a life-long resident of Conway. She moved to Oklahoma City in 2008 to be near her daughter, Debbie. She was a member of Conway First Church of the Nazarene.
She was preceded in death by her parents and siblings; brothers, Edgar Tyler, Elbert Tyler and Thurman Tyler; sisters, Ruby Cobb, Georgia Langford, and Bertha Bell.
She is survived by her husband of 66 years, O. D. Bailey; her son, David Bailey and wife Judy of Lawrenceville, GA; her daughter, Debbie Bolton and husband Bobby of Oklahoma City, OK; six grandchildren, Michael Bailey and wife Jennifer, Stephen Bailey, Katie Darnell and husband Russell, Matt Bolton, Amy Bolton, Molly Mayfield and husband Jacob; two great grandchildren, Hunter Mayfield and Colt Darnell.
The family would like to extend special thanks to caregivers Greta Tryon and Shirley White.
Services will be held at 1:00 p.m., on Saturday, September 12, 2009 at Roller-McNutt Funeral Home, Conway with her son, David Bailey, pastor of Grace Bible Church of Lawrenceville, GA and nephew Sam Bailey, pastor of Twin Lakes Baptist Church of Mountain Home, AR, officiating.
Burial will follow at Crestlawn Memorial Park, Conway. Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., on Friday, September 11, 2009.
