ARTHUR A. TYLER, FORMER GREENBRIER RESIDENT, DIES
Arthur Andrew Tyler, 80, of 4303 Ridge Road, North Little Rock, died Saturday after suffering a heart attack. He had been in ill health for two months.
Mr. Tyler was born February 20, 1879, at Greenbrier and had lived his entire life in Arkansas. He had lived in North Little Rock for the past ten years, moving there from Greenbrier.
Mr. Tyler was married to Cora Louise Salter in 1902. Her death occurred in 1948. His parents were William John and Sophronia Ann Reynolds Tyler. He was a Baptist.
Survivors include three sons, Faber L. Tyler of Ozark, Curtis W. Tyler of Fort Smith, and E. Hicks Tyler of Dardanelle; two daughters, Mrs. Dorothy Jackson of Benton and Mrs. Merle Carr of North Little Rock; six brothers, E.J. and Levi Tyler of Greenbrier, Noah, Walter, and Ira Tyler of Conway, and Virgil E. Tyler of North Little Rock; and a sister, Mrs. John Stevenson of Greenbrier.
Funeral services were held at Spring Hill Baptist Church this afternoon with the Rev. E.T. Burgess of North Little Rock in charge.
Pallbearers included Dennis Tyler, Edgar Tyler, H.O. Tyler, Forrest Love, Hendrix Tyler, and Owen Tyler. Burial was at Spring Hill Cemetery by McNutt Funeral Home.
