Ruby Clements Tyler, 91, of North Little Rock, died Saturday, Dec. 5, 1998.

She was the widow of Virgil Tyler. She was a member of Park Hill Baptist Church where she taught the Adult Ladies Sunday School Class for many years.

There she began a special recognition club for active Sunday School members who reached their 90th birthday providing for them a beautiful plaque that hangs on the wall with their names on it.

She spent many years as a public school teacher in Jacksonville, Lee County and North Little Rock. She was a member of North Little Rock Retired Teachers, Alpha Delta Kappa and the AARP.

She is survived by two sons, John Tyler of St. Louis, Mo., and James Tyler of Livermore, Calif.; a sister, Ruth Stanley of North Little Rock;and three grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Wednesday, Dec. 9, at Park Hill Baptist Church with Dr. S. Cary Heard officiating. Interment was at Rest Hills Memorial Park. The family requests that Memorials be made to Park Hill Baptist Church Building Fund.
